    steam wont start game?

    Hey guys I got need for speed shift 2 about 2 weeks ago during the steam summer sale i havent had the time to dl and play it til last nite and when i tried it wouldnt load it does the dling direct x and stuff then the preparing to launch thing comes up and closes and nothing happens the game doesnt start and on steam it says last played today ive tried reinstalling it still doesnt work please help im a nub at these things?

    right click on the game and select verify content, if that doesnt work you should go to steam support there subforums for most games, they should be able to help you out

    Try deleting the clientregistry.BLOB file, that fixes a good handfull of problems.

    Tried restarting Steam and/or Windows? Steam games sometimes install a bunch of stuff on first run and that stuff doesn't always take until some kind of restart.

    ive already tried restarting still didnt work ill try the other 2 methods when i get home and update on progress thanks for the help guys

    Right click and verifiy the integrity of the game, that will fix it.
