i'm having frame-skip or stutter problems... in condition zero.

i didn't use to have this problem before

i have a gforce 7600 card, playing on 1900x1200 on max settings, processors 2.16ghz c2duo.

i didn't touch my condition zero for a while, and now when i try to play it.. it's skipping/stuttering whatever you wana call it...

    driver version 6.14.11.6909

    any help??

side note: would the ezlo windows theme/object dock/sidebar runnin in the background have anything to do with it?

    thanks!

Well a change in drivers is always worth a look but from what i can gather from your post i think a lack of system memory could be the cause.

Try disabling any unnecessary start-up programs, visual themes, anti-virus etc.

If that doesnt show some improvement change in drivers usually brings a few noticable differences to each game (not always good ones though :))

thanks, i did'nt use to have the problem... i shut off objectdock and sidebar and it worked fine!...

so that would mean i don't have nough ram? i'm at 2gb right now. would upping to 4gb actually help even though 32bit can't use it all?

2GB should be lots. Have you changed any drivers since you played it before? I remember having stuttering problems after i upgraded my sound driver. So try changing any drivers (that you have changed since) back to how they were, or try a newer version if you cant get the old ones back

I agree, 2gb is plenty.. assuming your in xp? You could swap a 1 gb stick for a 2gb (3gb total) but it would only make a difference in a handful of newer games paired with a 7600 gpu.. Crysis jumps to mind :)

Oh ok so an extra gig of ram might help a little bit more ;)

If you can find a cheap enough 2 gb stick and sell the old one for enough (on ebay etc.) for it to be worth it. I think it will show improvement especially running at high res..
