I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed and/or found a solution to an issue I'm having with all nvidia driver versions since 197.16 (and possibly a bit earlier; that's the earliest one I have that causes it). Basically the frame rates are fine, but the rendering stutters consistently every 2 or 3 seconds...some regular interval. The video for any 3d application just freezes for an instant and then recovers. Basically it makes games unplayable. I was using a version from last year to avoid this issue, but now I'm having unrelated problems with that, and was wondering if anyone knows how to take care of this. Thanks in advance. (System specs are in sig.)

Have you tried changing the nvidia graphics settings? I had this problem when I had ambient occlusion enabled.
