does it run on windows 7 64 bit? and how well, if it does, run on an i7-2630QM with nvidia 540m?
oh and how comparable are an 8600m gt to a 540m? about 3 generations difference here, so i'm assuming the 540m still trumps the 8600?

Yes, the 540m runs rings around the 8600m GT. I assume you're referring to the 1st Supreme Commander and that one ran fine on Vista x64 from what I recall. As for settings, apparently most high-end notebooks have no problems maxing out the game. Try not to go overboard with 8-player gargantuan maps with massive artillery wars.

lmao. i haven't played it in two years and i only played single player. just making sure i'm getting something competent. that's the most demanding game i have besides maybe the witcher. i'm eager to try the quad core on tthe np5160 i just ordered. thanks for the answer. i know the 540 is on the low end of nvidia models, but i figure 3 years ahead and intels sandybridge igp i should be fine.
