I just bought the OB collection, when I try and run TF2, I get a windows ding, it closes to the desktop and a box pops up saying "engine error" "no permission to run 'tf'"

I'm clueless how to fix this, and google has faild me thus far, I found a few people asking about the same thing, but no answers, and a lot of foreign posts, HELP!

    Running vista64 SP1

Did you restart after installing? Restarting has solved the problem for people. Also try running in compatibility mode.

I actually got that very same error the first time I installed Team Fortress 2 after installing.

I restarted and I never got the error again. I am however running it on XP, so that might not be the case with Vista.

    I think that's just you.

Unless you're talking about the clicking sounds in the menu, which are used for all source games.

In the actual game, I can't find any sound similarities to Counter-Strike.
