wanna run some benmarks for your desktop? i'm expecting this to be in the 10,000+
-
his desktop will be able to play Crysis at Very High, easy.
-
-
it'll definitely play crysis on all very high at 1920x1200 (you prob won't need any AA but 2x might even play well)
it's 2x8800GTX's.... 1 GTX can pretty much play Crysis on all high settings. -
stop denying it, he's got that dual 8800 ultra that everyone's jealous about. =P
btw, ^ he does not have GTX but better he has the Ultra. -
-
crysis. /lock thread

-
haha no probs, i'm currently deciding whether to buy the orange box, or prostreets..i'm leaning more towards the prostreets side thinking that it'll be cheaper..hopefully it will..lol
-
visually stunning? CoD4 and Killzone 2 lol but it will be a while before they are released, i saw the e3 trailers
how about bioshock. that gets everyone -
The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
COD4 for sure. I think the demo like UT3 was also reduced in terms of quality. The trailer with you as a cloaked sniper or any of the new trailers shows off its true performance. Buying this game on monday. Will have a review up sometime next week!
-
Which are you more interested in: a graphically stunning game, or a game that pushes your hardware? -
CoD 4 and UT3 are, IMO, the best looking games out there right now. Crysis is also pretty good looking, but in all seriousness 1920x1200, all at maximum is not going to be able to maintain above 30 FPS, and you can forget about anti-aliasing. I base this on a) various reports around the internet about SLI 8800GTXs and Q6600s dying on high, and b) the rig in my signature, which can only push out medium at 1680x1050, no AA. Insanity.
-
You know, you people with 8800 gfx cards and 4GB ram and fancy quad core processors, must be pissed off that Crysis is raping most of your machines like it's a infant Pentium 2 system..
gotta love technology, so whens the next $3000 dollar upgrade? lolz.. -
Oh and I've seen NOTHING better looking than Crysis, sometimes playing the demo almost feels like your there... until you realize your getting 5fps and have to take away the 1920x1200 rez, and max dx10 settings :\ -
Wow this game really seem to the destroyer of worlds... And was hoping to be a least able to run it on high on my future fl90 t7700 2gb of ram and a 160gb 7.2k rpm laptop....
-
You have:
Home grown: |Qx6850|4gbRAM|2x 768mb ultra|Xfi 7.1 sound|2 x 750gbHdd|2x blue-ray r/w|27''dell|Linux ubuntu 7.10 and Vista Ult|
And you're asking:
-
Guys I think he just wants a game that push his system to the limit to test how good of a rig he's got. I got to say it is pretty damn good and EXPENSIVE.
-
My desktop rig with a Core2Duo at 2.93GHz and an 8800GTX at 630/2000 plays this game in DX10 with most options on very high except shaders and shadows and I run the game beautifully.
This doesn´t rape my system, the game looks awesome in DX10. You with your dual 8800 Ultra I think will be able to push most options to very high, though I play at 1440x900 my LCD max rez.
But forget about any AA at least in the demo.
By the way people doesn´t have to be rich to buy stuff. I think most people take loans to afford expensive gaming. -
^^
and that i did Magnus!
say thank you mr.left over college loans -
ScifiMike12 Drinking the good stuff
Wait for the final release (Nov. 16) and then we'll see...
Mike. -
Honestly, the only game that has taxed my single 8800GTX has been Crysis. UT3 and CoD4 ran without a hitch.
Get Crysis, it will tax your system.
And your system should run Crysis fine, I'd ingore the posts that say you can't.
By the way, ScifiMike, your sig is hilarious, and there is some truth to that. -
ScifiMike12 Drinking the good stuff
Thanks man, it's hard to find people who understand this math joke..
I guess theres not that many people taking or have taken Calculus.. -
Actually I'm pretty sure the demo (not the Beta, but the new SP Demo) is multithreaded - on my desktop it manages to use up most of both cores all the time. It might be limited to 2 cores, however; I'm not wealthy enough or in enough debt to know otherwise.

My Voodoo banshee 16mb is NOT RAPED by Crysis!
It actually plays pretty well about 25-30FPS on 1024x768 everything maxed out on my Voodoo... -
I've also saw a few people leave engineering for business when I was getting my ME degree.
I love the joke!
I am just talking about all the people who say he can't run max. I'll I am saying is he can.
-
just ignore what i said then
