    laptop is acer 4283

    states 7600se

i was so exited when getting this laptop, and ran 3dmark 06 on defualt settings as when 1st starting up the benchmark...

    total is a low 1280 3d marks!!!!!!!

    i was totally shocked...
installed rivatuner and checked mem bus bit...

    it is a 64 bit card , not 128bit :(

so that leaves me with a huge hole in my pocket, and a weak laptop for gaming. gona sell it asap!!!!

funny thing is though, lord of the rings battle for middle earth runs ok on medium low settings, i dont know...

what card does this version of 7600 directly compare with? is it realy that weak, a 7600 is supose to give ATLEAST 2000 3d marks !!

unfortunately, the SE moniker stands for Suckage Edition...

wish we were able to warn you beforehand.

try to swing a vostro from dell with an 8600m gt. they go for cheap these days.

Yeah, the 8600m GT is the best value for gaming. Check out the Dell Inspiron 1520/1720.

    Sorry, I don't think that's possible.

Return the laptop quick, before the 30-day limit is over. You've got the right to return it, and if they ask for a "restocking fee" tell them to suck balls.

Masterchef is right, try to swing for a 8600GT if possible. You can get one for under $1000 I have heard.
