if i get a 256 mb geforce 86M GT with turbo cache, would a 4gb of ram fully optimize the limits of the graphic card? EVEN THOUGH windows vista (32) wouldn't recognize all of 4gigs of it?
or would I have to settle for 3 gbs of ram, because vista completely rejects 4gb of ram, even though the application wouldn't invovle vista..

The difference between 3 & 4 GB in 32-bit is negligible. The card does not benefit from Turbocache regardless of RAM size. Dedicated is all that really counts.
-
3GB would be enough to allow the card to utilize it's maximum amount of Turbocache. And yes, with 3GB Turbocache really will be helpful.

if you could compare, how many "real" mbs would turbocahce add to the 256mb card /w 3gb of ram?
e.x. would it be equivalent to a 100mb boost? with 2gbs of ram? ("767mb" /w turbocache)
basically, comparing it -
You can't compare Turboacached memory to dedicated memory, it doesn't work that way.
