I'am I an abuser of game save? Do you do the same or use different gaming tactics? Is my habit of saving before a hard section (say before battling a "Big Daddy" in Bioshock) then reloading the save if i get wacked, keeping all my ammo and health instead of exiting the "Vitachamber" unethical gaming? Express your unabashed opinion here! Is Missimformation a word (George Bush)?

I don't understand the first question at all.
I actually get gut feelings when I should save. And I learned if i dont listen, i die a couple minutes later. I usually will forget to save, unless its in GRAW2, but you die like every three seconds -
I'am with you on all that, you must be a dominant multiplayer playerrrrrr.

........I dont play multiplayer much... if at all.

I do the same thing... I think I would throw my keyboard or mouse if I had to go back too far, especially if I did it multiple times (this is the biggest flaw of the checkpoint system).

I think in single player games you should play as you please, even cheat, if it makes you have fun. Having fun and being entertained is the point afterall. For multiplayer games, it's a different story...
For example in Baldur's Gate (Tutu) I use the quick saving constantly, but I always try my best to get through those hard battles without a need for reload. I always use my thief to scout ahead so I know what to expect and if I have to prepare my party someway. Still, there are some battles, that are so god d*mn hard that I sometimes get killed and is forced to use reload. In short, I don't use reload to optimize my battles or save bottles, scrolls etc., I use it when my character dies. -
Save early. Save often.
