Sorry for the stupid question, but i am not sure what i am doing wrong.
I tried searching and reading in the forum, but i didn't see what i was doing incorrectly
I have an alienware m7700a, with a nvidia 7950GTX card with driver version 6.14.10 86.63,

I was trying to install the new drivers that were made available for Crysis, but now matter what i do, I can't install any drivers i find for my card,

i keep getting the following error.

The NVIDIA setup program could locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware

can someone tell me what i am doing wrong.

    Thanks

Driver's directly from Nvidia's site can't be installed on laptops (stupid licensing reasons).

You have to mod them with a custom .inf from Laptopvideo2go.com

Click here for the 32-bit Vista 169.04 (latest ones for Crysis) drivers. (if you have a different OS, find the appropriate version of 169.04 here)

Basically, you click the links at the top of the page to download the driver and the modded .inf. Once you have both files, click the driver to extract it somewhere. Then drag and drop the modded inf file (nvdisp.inf) into the driver's folder (replace the old one). This adds laptop video cards to the driver's compatability list.

Once you've replaced the .inf, you're ready to go. Uninstall your old drivers in the control panel, reboot, then use the setup.exe for your new drivers. Then enjoy your greatly improved performance. :)
