Is it possible (maybe some program) to "underclock" a graphics card while on the go. I'm a pretty hardcore gamer, but I would like to use a laptop at school for programming usages/surfing net etc.. Is this possible, is there software that can do this?

(Sorry if this is a newbie question :))

    Thanks!

What kind of graphics card do you have? Most can underclock and undervolt themselves on battery without you doing anything.

Well it should have a battery management thing where it undercloks your gpu and cpu and dims the screen to save battery so all underclcoking will do is making your performance worse when its pluged in.
