    unlocking pipelines on 7900 gs?

    sorry if this has been posted before, i searched and could find nothing.
    has anyone used riva tuner to enable the disabled shader and pixel pipelines on the 7900 gs?

    I don't think you can unlock pipelines on the 7000 series.

    yeah, nvidia phsically locked the pipelines so people can't unlock them anymore. I think the ATI 1800 or 1900 still has pipelines you can unlock though.

    I'm pretty sure the extra pipelines were actually cut off, not just locked.

    Im possitive they are not just cut off but actually dont exist on the core since its actually different and smaller, makes sense as they can then fit more per wafer.
