A week ago I ordered the Np9261 from xoticpc and have been waiting ever since for them to get the 7950 GTX (back order) Now I see they have the NP9262 with the 8800 GTX. I was thinking about changing my order from 7950 GTX to the 8800 GTX. The extra cash I would have to drop is only about $200 so can this be justified by getting the 8800 GTX? I am only using xp so i wouldn't get the full advantage of the 8800 GTX and dx10. But still can this thing blow the 7950 GTX out of the water even if it is only on xp? I need to figure this out quickly so that I might be able to change my order?

The 8800GTX should destroy the 7950GTX even in DX9, even in XP.

In your position, I would change the order if I could wait for the laptop to ship with the 8800 and it was only $200 more.

That being said, it will likely delay the laptop being shipped.
Talk to your vendor about the specifics.

Yes, change the order...if you dont, your upgrade cost in the future will be spendy because it will require a new motherboard and then the new cards. This can be a really spendy upgrade. Check the sager / clevo form and look at the two bigger threads about this.

If I were you I would call them as soon as you can and change it.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was literally hitting the refresh every 5 seconds. I will change it right away since I was planning on upgrading to vista in a year.
    Thanks again!
