Upgraded from an 8600m to an hd4670 and now GTA EFLC won't load. it will start and log in to GFWL but, when i try to load or start a new game it crashes or more accurately just closes after playing the loading screen images and music fora while.

Re Downloaded in steam twice and the second time i manually scrubbed it, deleted all files and setting and even deleted registry entries via regedit.

Also Saints row The Third became unplayable, I'm talking like 5 FPS, vs 25fps with 8600m. Other wise i have gained a notable bit of GFX power considering my limited CPU.

Try to delete the configuration file located in my documents/gtaIV folder.
    Maybe that will help.

Try using default gfx and resolution settings, and if that works, then set them back to what you want. I had the same problem with my HTPC when I upgraded the GPU and this fixed it.

i did all that, like i said i manually scrubbed so the documents folder was deleted too. No matter what gfx setting it just crashes. i'll try playing with resolutions and settings again.

EDIT: well it worked for one reason or another, i went to set gfx to default. I noticed there was no such button as a default settings button but, i had noticed the settings were way different so i assumed it saw the new card and reset them. I didn't change the the gfx settings but, i did turn auto scan off in "audio" and low and behold it loaded.

I just need to figure a way to make saints row 3 playable again.

Dude what is up with your CPU. Please just let me sell you a t6600 for like 20$. Your CPU is seriously like so 5 years ago.

His cpu is very slow, I thought my cpu was very slow lol. The op should upgrade to a t8100 or t8300. I did that on a d630 with t7100 upgraded it to t8100. If the op gets a cheap t8100/t8300 cpu you will notice less lags as the t8100 is way faster at gaming and everything else and best thing is power consumption maybe even less, t8100 should run cooler.

well after my last my last round of upgrades the problem is back. this time it won't launch. This time i noted BatMan AA fails to launch due to missing GFWL files, verify cache didn't help either game. I use steam.

EDIT: I upgraded to a T9300 and then over clocked it to just a hair under 3 ghz.

Uninstalled and reinstalled GFWL market place and deleted the GTA EFLC graphics config/settings file as well as verifying the file cache via steam and that seemed fix it.
