just out of curiousity, how hard is it to upgrade a laptop in terms of RAM or the video card? i heard that it is not a good idea to upgrade or replace teh video card because it works directly for the chipset you have in your lappy... im just wondering because in a year or so i'd rather get a new video card then a new laptop ;p

any comments are appreciated - thanks.

    upgrading RAM is really easy

upgrading a video card is impossible for most laptops, there are a few that can be upgraded but i think you need to soldier and stuff like that

The RAM, HDDs and CPU's are easiest to upgrade.. although upgrading the CPU voids your warranty.. The GPU is either not upgradeable, or a real pain to.. Unless it is specifically a user upgradeable card, such as in the Asus C90.. These ones are MXM slot cards, usually... Upgrading the card is also possible in some dells, although it's got severe limitations..

Things like RAM and hard drives are very easy to upgrade. However, the Asus C90 is one of the few laptops in which upgrading the GPU is fairly easy.
