first off can maybe a moderate make a stick of the videocard hiearchy, because i think ALOT of Q's are about that. with that said how does a sony fe geforce 7400 go stack up against an x700?
am i right that an 7400 is closest to a x1400 so slightly below an x700?

I think www.tomshardware.com contains benchmarks allthough they are not the mobility versions you still can get a small idea of which card is better than the other.

Here is a chart that Chazman posted before.
Here is the chart that Chazman posted.
ATI:Nvidia
X300 = Go6200
X600 = Go6400
X700 = Go6600
X800 = Go6800
X800XT = Go6800Ultra
New cards:
X1300 = Go7300
X1400 = Go7300
X1600 = Go7600
? = Go7800/GTX [no ATI competitor at the moment]
And then performance [lowend>highend]:
X300 = Go6200 > Go6400 = X600 > Go6600 > X700 > Go6800=X800 > Go6800Ultra=X800XT [should be close to Go7800] Go7800 [just a bit faster than Go6800U/X800XT, howver, haven't seen any benchmarks so cannot be completely sure] > Go7800GTX
Thanks to Chaz. -
that is what chaz should sticky

I'll make up a post sometime and sticky it, would be very useful . . .I might type up a formal version tonight, we'll see . .
Yeah, the X1400/Go7400 should score around 2k in 3DMark05, whereas the X700 gets 2500+, so you do the math.
Either way, you'll be able to play the latest games at decent settings with the X1400/Go7400.

ahhh okay thank you
