I have the Alienware m15x laptop with 8800M GTX nVidia 512Mb Video card. I'm usually active in the Alienware forum, and also made a video to show the gameplay of some of the games on this laptop.

here is the youtube link be sure to watch it in high quality.
or you can go here, for really high quality video, it might take some time to load tho.

Next time you make a video make sure the fraps is clearly showing what fps you get at any given time, that would be very helpful for those who are considering m15x.

    FRAPS slows down FPS.

I'd rather see high quality resolution of actual game play.

I went over to alienware... you can get the m15x with an 8800gtx for $1,999.
Thats with only a t8100 proc and 1GB of ram though.

Awesome, give me your laptop and tell me what music you used.

    Is that at 1920x1200?

How did you make the camera look like it was on a spring?

WHY HAVEN'T YOU SENT ME THE LAPTOP YET!?

No one single 8800m GTX doesn´t run Crysis maxed out with good framerates. You would have to tweak it a lot, but Very High DX10 is out of the question, maybe if you run in some measly resolution such as 1024x768 or something. I mean two 8800m GTX in SLI overclocked too struggles with Very High unless running in much lower res than 1920x1200 :)

FRAPS doesn't slow down FPS if you're only displaying FPS, unless you're using it to make a video.

thanks, no It doesn't run Crysis maxed out. it runs it at I think 3rd highest resolution available on the laptop. (can't remember the numbers) with graphics setting at high and AA Off or at 2x. I get around 25-29 FPS but me and rest of the gamers are waiting for AW to release the new Drivers for nvidia 8800.

with two taxes, shipping, and student discount it came to around $3,200CAD

I've uploaded alot of videos of gameplay while running fraps. they're all under my username on youtube. Have a look.

FRAPS slows down the Frame rate to 30FPS. for example while I am playing COD4, I get around 95-150 FPS at max setting and max resolution, as soon as I start recording using FRAPS, frame rate drops to 30FPS, because 30FPS is the limit for the video being captured.

yup. I got a 8800GTS 640MB for my desktop as well. its a good card.

    which video and what part?

    lol
what do you mean camera on a spring? and what video are you referring to for music?

True, I was watching this video on youtube, where a guy was using Tri-SLi 8800 Ultras and playing Crysis Maxed out (Very high) at 1920x1200
