    ...Vista is the next operating system to come out from Microsoft and it will be released this November.

    Halo 2 will only be able to run on Vista and it will not run on Windows XP.

    So they say. I would bet 50 bucks that Halo 2 will be patched and running on XP within 2 weeks of release.

    and if MS doesnt patch it to run on XP, then im sure somone will make a 3rd party patch to make it run on XP...

    Microsoft wants to make Halo 2 Vista only because if they didn't get you with the Xbox or 360 they think they can get the last people holding out by screwing them with a required Windows upgrade. Honestly though, I thought Halo 2 was pretty lousy and way after it's time. It offered nothing new and didn't live up to the hype in any way. The only reason why it was a success is because the Xbox had a lack of competing FPS games. Here on the PC we've got plenty of other titles to chose from so Microsoft better get with the game here and realize they have competition on the PC.
