I'm going to get a new laptop soon and i was wondering what games will vista not be able to play. I want to know more than these, but here is a list of ones I already own
Age of empires 3
Battlefield 2142
star wars galaxies
battle for middle earth 2
lord of the rings online
company of heroes
star wars empire at war

Vista will be able to play them all. But will it be to your liking? Probably not. If the laptop you have in your sig is the one you have then you will not have a good time running some of those (like SWG). BTW what is your GPU?
-
these are the ones i play
AOE3
bf2142
coh
and all work fine. just a few frames less then with xp.
the only games that i have had problems with are old games like Patrician 3. -
no, the computer in my sig is my old computer that does absolutely nothing at an acceptable speed. I am going to buy a new compal with the 8600gt, 2.16ghz duo core, 2gb ram. I was talking compatibility issues
-
the gpu in it is the radeon in the sig to answer your question

Is the SP1 for vista set to release soon?
-
now thats slightly off topic.....
Not too sure. i have heard rumers saying their not going to release one, however, i'm sure that they will, for all the users on dial up or without net connections. i would say in the next couple of months. -
Its practically the only reason I decided not to buy a laptop right now. Only game I know that has an issue with Vista atm, is World of Warcraft, but I think Bliz' forums have a fix in it. But alot of posters there are reporting the sound quality is messed up and theres no fix for it. -

Creative just released new vista drivers for xfi cards the other day that fixed all the sound issues.
If your SC is based on creative you should have no issues with sound in vista with the newest drivers.
If its sombody else.... you gotta wait for them to release some drivers. -
Wait, World of Warcraft has a problem with Vista?? What problem, I've been playing it for a while now... [on vista]
I haven't encountered a single thing that hasn't worked on Vista yet, including games, programs, etc. Dunno where all that Vista hate comes from. -
I'm just repeating what I read over and over again on the Bliz forums from users. I'm glad it works for you 100% though. -
I just got my Dell XPS M1710 with Vista Home Premium.
Counter Strike Source, Half Life 2, Guild Wars, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl = All work very well.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007 = Installation went well but game play didn't work. Started a carreer & all I could see was black.
