I know the x3100 isn't a very powerful video chipset, but I purchased a C713NR 2 weeks ago with this chipset. I did so with the intention of mainly using it for school and some very mild gaming (warcraft 3) and even with everything set to low I've been getting 9-15fps tops at any res. Do I have a driver problem or is this perhaps jus the limits of the x3100? I read the faqs and what not on this forum, and that gave me the idea that this should be able to handle this game, so I'm just wondering what I'm missing here thats preventing me from playing this game at a reasonable frame rate.

yea download some new drivers...I could run that game on a thinkpad with integrated graphics three years ago.

Well it appears that I'm running the latest driver on intels site (7.14.10.1364) so I would assume its not a driver issue unless my driver install is bad. Could this be a vista issue with wc3? Not that I've read about any such issues.

Reinstall the drivers and see if it helps. If not try the 2nd latest driver and see if the problem goes away.
My old laptop in my signature could get double digits fps and that has a video card that's 2 generations behind the X3100. I'm sure there can't be any problems even if the OS is Vista. -
