i boguht a laptop and found out that the graphic card was a problem with overheating. I can't return it and get a new one cuz i bought it 2 months ago. If i take it to bestbuy to repair it, how much would it cost to put in a new graphic card?

is it integrated? if so, your whole mobo will have to be replaced, and i doubt bestbuy has that in stock

Almost all laptops come with a 1 year parts warranty at a minimum. However, the store you purchased from will no longer be willing to help you. You will need to contact the manufacturer directly and ask for an RMA for a Repair Order. They will ask some diagnostic questions over the phone and then if convinced they'll open a repair ticket for you and give you instructions on how to get it to them. Be prepared to pay for shipping, or if they have local repair shops you may have the option of dropping it off.

    Good Luck!

I'm pretty sure you're talking about the nvidia 8600m right? Cuz if you are, then you probably got one of those defective cards. You should get a new one for free, if you ask one from Nvidia, since the dell xps 1530s got their cards replaced, i think.

Bestbuy can't fix it, and even if it's dedicated it may still be soldered to the motherboard which is most likely the case.

At most, if under warrantee bestbuy would replace it with another notebook, to get it repaired you would have to contact the manufacturer and have it sent in. They should give you estimates on cost if you email or phone them.

Contact your manufacturer and send it in for repair, not nVidia (do this second, or ask your manufacturer to do so), not best buy.
