currently what i have that works good is GTA: Vice city, and tried gta 3 but didn't realy want it. Also i have counter strike. thats it right now, but do you guys know any fun games that would work ok on this graphics card? Mostly anytype of game would be fine, as long its a good one. so if anyone knows some please list them and how good they run on an integrated graphics card. thanks.

Anything about three or more years old should do it nicely...
    NeverWinterNights
    GTA: VC
Far Cry (with low settings an a patch provided by Far Cry's website)
    Homeworld (1 and 2)
Diablo I, II, and expansion packs

I'll check my old stash of games...most/all of them were playable on the GMA900, so you'll be in slightly better shape than I was.

You might be able to get away with Halo on low settings, but I hear that the GMA950 has trouble with it. If you're into racing games, you can try Need For Speed Underground, which was a pretty good game. As Night said, some older games should work fine, but there's not a lot of newer games that will work well.

yeh i tried halo, didn't run so hot. but im not that big of a fan of it on computer, as i had it for xbox, and now am a little tired of it. What are your guys oppinion of far cry. it looks like a really good game. did you say it would work on the gma 900? would that make it be able to run pretty good on the gma 945?

I cannot remember the settings, but they were set fairly low. But it worked...though if you get a little choppy you'll need to turn something down.

The GMA950 (that's the GPU for the 945 chipset) was slightly more powerful than the GMA900...but only just.

alright ut2004 runs pretty well actualy, but far cry the demo atleast works horrable. its really laggy, and everything looks all blue and out of wack. not sure if thats because of the demo, and if the full game would make it any better. but i was playing on 600x800 and the ride to the beach in the boat, was so laggy, as well as all the colors bein outa wack.

    my system specs are
    gma 945
    1gig ram
    computer = compaq presario c502us

Yeah i have far cry on my GMA 945, 1gig ram laptop and it has dreadfull gameplay. Half life 2 works on it on lowest settings, World of Warcraft works well (personally i dont like it but most people do) and i heard that battlefield 2 works on it but ive never tried myself

Nope, it doesn't. Far Cry doesn't work right even on lowest settings, and neither does UT2K4 for anybody who read that it runs at high settings flawlessly on the previous page. I've personally tested out UT2K4 on two GMA equipped laptops with decent processors and 1gb of ram - and my findings conclude with most benchmarks and other members on this forum - the framerate is too inconsistant regardless of high or low settings to achieve guaranteed enjoyable gameplay.

So yeah it works, but not flawlessly by any stretch, unless you don't mind jittery framerates which I somehow think most people do.

Anyway, some decent games I've tried on the GMA that work fine are Dawn of War, Call of Duty, Command and Conquer Generals, that sort of thing....FEAR also works, and apparently at good fps on very low settings, but I've never tried it.

    World of Warcraft
    Baldurs Gate 2
    You could try Civ4

    Um...
    Guildwars
Rapellz (can't remember spelling... free nice looking MMORPG)

    Return to Castle Wolfenstein

Um... Age of empires 2.. maybe even 3 on low settings.
    Rise of Nations

Dunno, there are others, but I can't think of them.. .mainly been playing my 360 and WoW...

of course, you could d/l some roms and emulators. As a legal note, you need the original copy of a game to aparantly have a rom of it. *ahem*
