    Hi Everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone could help me in making a decision over a new laptop i'm hoping to buy.

    The specs are advertised as:

Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 2.0Ghz (Igig memory) 160GB hard drive. 15.4 inch LCD WXGA display (Dual Lamp).
probably the most important thing: "total available graphics memory (max) 383MB with nVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 noteook graphics processing unit"
    (laptop runs on Vista).

My question is, what games would work fairly well on this? I'm into games but don't really expect to play the cutting edge latest games, but I do want Deus ex 2 and Unreal2 to work on it (in some form). Deus ex 2, while an older game, has this fussy light shading requirement and i'm not sure if the above specs will be good enough for it.

Another question i'm kind of wondering about - what does it mean by 'dual lamp?'

Any help would be appreciated :)

    Thanks!

    -Jamie

Older games will work well. Even Deus ex 2. I expect even newer games that come out this year will work atleast in low settings.

Dual Lamp is the back light of the LCD. You got 2 lights.

I have a x1600 which is very similar to the go7600, and I can run pretty much everything (Win xp though). For 2007's games, I usually have to turn the shadows off to make them run at descent FPS (>26), but I keep most settings high (even AA=2x) and I use resolutions around 1024x768 or even 1280x768 (except so far R6 Vegas that I had to set it to 800x600)

Now, Unreal 2 is from 2003 and Deux ex 2 from 2004, so, are you kidding? those games are going to fly!

a 7600 is no slouch. it will run every game, not with everything maxed out but it will run it well enough, especially at 1280x768(WXGA size)

I know it will run Titan Quest at Low/Med settings but will get bogged down in graphic intensive areas.
