as per this thread and posts in the gateway forum, i seems to be getting some undesirable preformance in this game.

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=267325&page=3

i have a gateway 6860fx 1.83ghz 4gram vista 64 nvidia 8800m gts. other users reported max settings with great preformance.

i did a defrag, reinstall, reinstalled my drivers. other games that i own like cod4 and crysis run great, i dont seem to know what the problem is here. im trying both dx9 and dx10 modes.

as you can see in the screenshot, i get 20 fps average in the city. right before that scene, in the caves, i was getting 45-60.. very smooth.

I had no problem running it all high, but I didn't play for long. The game is just a weak title, to me...

You made sure your computer was set to "High Performance" mode, correct?

Outdoors, around 25-40. It was a little unstable, due to the CPU, but still very playable.

AC has its problems being a Ubisoft title. the desktop 8800GTX has hard time keeping constant 60FPS

it's a bad port might be cause 8800gtx having a hard time on it
and what resuluton did you play

that why its not very very stable and requires a lot of hardware

its multisampling ingame is actually more taxing than the Control panel's AA, while both look the same, weird..

I know the game is demanding, but if irata can run Crysis w/o a problem, then he should be able to run AC. But other issues might be factors I guess.
