i need a new game, im bored. so i need some help picking out one. heres the games i have already and how i liked em

    orange box - loved it
    cs:s - love it
left 4 dead - love it (got split screen to work :))
bioshock - love it but its hard for me to play (i scare easy)
crysis - dont care for it.
    demigod - love it
sins of a solar empire - hate it
the witcher - pretty good, dont like the combat
    tomb raider underworld - good
    oblivion - hate it
    mass effect - loved it
    dead space - scary
red alert 3 - love it
    mirrors edge - love it
    assassins creed - pretty good
far cry 2 - hate it (washed out graphics)
lotr battle for middle earth 2 - dont care for it, it was cheap though

i dont like sandbox games, its hard for me to follow the story, i get distracted.

horror games are ok but dont suggest em unless they have co-op. i dont like playing them by myself. (left 4 dead was not scary at all)

i really like any genre of games, as long as they are fun.

lastly, dont like bethesda softworks style of games, tried fallout 3 oblivion and morrowind and hated them all

oh yeah, no mmos. im mmo'd out. i like multiplayer games though

Trine is a fun game, think retro sidescroller with nice graphics.
There is a demo available, and it has co-op.

    http://store.steampowered.com/app/35700/ $29

    <object width='560' height='340'><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/iXamgP-j-xU&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/iXamgP-j-xU&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width='560' height='340'></embed></object>

If you are bored, you can't go wrong with Plants vs. Zombies, awesome game. Also has a demo.

Was gonna mention Prototype, but you nixed sandbox, but a really fun stuff.

Call of Duty4 you seem to like fps and this is one of the best, with single player campaign (arcade mode can be unlocked) and one of the best multiplayer experiences around, why not try to pick up something like company of heros gold edition, it can be had for cheap, and is one if not the best rts game ive played, it also has a good online community.

COD4.... to get you even more hyped for Modern Warfare 2!

But really, COD4 has an INCREDIBLE single player campaign, and some of the best multiplayer out there.

Well do you like RTS? Because if you do get an oldie Empire Earth, for like $10 on amazon. Or Rome: Total War
Also since you didn't like SoaSE would you mind selling it to me?

Dawn of War 2 is on steam for $25 that's a definite pickup if you like RTS at that price.

If you want to have a good laugh get plants VS zombies.

BTW I loved the new ghostbusters game, its like the movie and has new weapons! nice gfx too.

Also avoid crysis warhead, nice graphics but stupid story... one of the SHORTEST games I ever played, will tax your machine, weird gameplay...

empire earth was super fun, i have played it before. havent tried rome total war, ill look into it, but for the most part im not looking too much for an rts, for the most part i just play those to build awesome bases and waste time.

ill look at it, but i wont get it from steam. i like my collection of boxes :p

    ill look into it

ghostbusters looks good :) i might go for that, i should probably watch the movies first. i will avoid crysis warhead for now. i need to finish crysis first anyway.
