that's actually pretty cool. As long as you don't go over 70-80 degrees celcius, you should be fine.

some cards are fine at 100C so it really depends on what your card is, but 46C is pretty low, as Harper said 70-80 max is about the average for most.

46*C is extremely cool. What kind of notebook and video card do you have?

My 9600M-GT idles at 50*C and tops out around 88*C under full load. I bought a notebook cooler and now it's around 36*C at idle, haven't checked the load though I think it's in the ~75*C range.

are you sure 46C is under load? thats amazingly low acturally, a lot of cards idle higher than that.

How are you measuring your temps? RivaTuner?

Maybe whatever you're using is reading your CPU? 43 while idling and 45-50 while gaming may fit a CPU temp.

Maybe you could try the results with the GPU-Z program. 46 under stress doesn't quite sound right. Also what games are you playing? if they aren't anything like Crysis going up by 10 to a 50 or so average sounds better. With Crysis surely you'd see it going into the 60s at least.

I get about mid 40s on idle and 50-70 tops while gaming.

I have the same system and am getting similar temps. I've used both riva tuner and ntuner to measure. The highest i ever got while gaming was 65.

Sagers are extremely well built and have excellent cooling systems. Thats what sold me over the gateway 7811. Now that i have my sager i dont know what i was even thinking considering gateway.
