Hey guys...which GPU is better for animation,3d modelling and stuff....
Basically using softwares like 3dsmax,Maya,Photoshop and other similar stuff...
512MB NVIDIA Quadro FX 3500M or NVIDIA SLI Dual 512MB 7950 GTX
Basically the one in Dell Precision M90 or Alienware Area 51 m9750....
Pls reply...

o no question, the 3500M will top the dual Nvidia
-
I disagree with youra6. Though the 3500m is optimized for 3d works, 7950GTX is faster card. I would say 3500M is better if it's not SLI dual 7950GTX, but it's SLI 'dual' 7950GTX. There is no competition between them. Alienware Area 51 m9750 hands down

assuming the SLI works with the programs you are using, the dual 7950gtx will be way faster.
-
they are the exact same card. so assuming there is 2x 7950gtx, that will be faster!
-
they are not exactly the same card in terms of what is optimized, and as previously stated if those cards can utilize both cards in SLI then the GTX will be faster because of that.
-
I would definately say the dual 7950gtx is faster for gaming while the quadro is better for workstations. Also with the quadro you'll probably get more battery life
-
If the 3D modeling program is not optimized for SLI you will not see any benefit. I would personally go with the M90.
Which Gpu is better...
