The 8700gt is better in DX10 (duh the 7950 cant)

I belive the 7950gtx is definitaly the best for gaming...

Though I'd definitaly wait for January since thats when the new hoards of 8800gtx lappies come out (not hoards... but.. you get my point)

If the game was recently released and relies heavily on shaders the 8700 is stronger performance-wise, especially if the resolution is not set too high. Apart from this caveat the 7950 is always going to be stronger performance-wise because of the 256 buswidth.

Are you sure the 8700 is DDR2 memory? There have been reports that Toshiba's X205 model doesn't advertise its graphics card memory correctly so it should read GDDR3 instead of DDR2.

The satellite x205 has GDDR3 video memory, it's a mistake on Toshiba's part to mislabel the video memory. If you are waiting until next year then buy a model with the newly announced 8800 since that card has the same buswidth as the 7950 and has more power to run DX10 games.
