    -first things first:
i dont do any 3D intense stuff - be it the latest game or video editing. im more of a mid-range sort of user: playing games like C&C Generals, maybe halflfe and WOW

so which of these do you think will become unbearably inferior the quickest for a mid-range(ish) gamer?:

    Intel Pentium-M Centrino 740: 1.73Ghz, 533Mhz fsb, 2Mb cache ??
    or
    512Mb RAM: DDR2 533Mhz ??
    or
    ATI Mobility X700 PCI-E 128Mb dedicated ??

If anything it is the amount of RAM you have, everything else should last some time, although it won't be up to date.

i would say, x700, ram, processor.

reason being..x700 is being phased out (since most notebooks are now coming with x1400), the ram, since you will need a minimum of 1gb for vista, and the processor last, because the max notebook processor is what...2.4ghz?

    pb,out.
