OK so up until now, what are the best rts games out there and which ones are the most popular right now? which ones will people continue to play in the future a lot? dont mention starcraft...
-
You don't like Starcraft or its theme?
Dawn of War and all its expansion are pretty good IMO and so is Company of Heroes. They are some very fast paced RTS.
Not sure for future proof though. -
I Still Love to play any of the Age Of Empires games...
-
I agree:
Dawn of War
Company of Heroes
Command and Conquer 3
Sins of a Solar Empire -
Command and Conquer General and expansion are nice too (The theme)... still waiting for their follow up... Its suppose to be next right? Since C&C and RA got theirs.
-
The Homeworld series should be mentioned
-
Warcraft 3.
Can't beat its large online user base, and it's custom user-created maps.
oh yeah, ladders okay -
No love for supreme commander?
-
yeah i was hoping someone would bring up supreme commander
is it future proof? also are most people playing forged alliance? -

Company of Heroes.
New expansion for company of heroes is coming out this spring of 2009. -
I still think the Age of Empires Series is still the best. I felt that Age of Empires III was the best one, to bad Ensemble Studios is closing after Halo Wars ships..
-
1. Company of Heroes
2. Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts
3. Company of Heroes Tales of Valor
4. ... -

StarCraft is THE MOST played RTS since 10 or more years ago, still unbeaten
then comes WarCraft 3 (EXCELLENT GAME)
Then comes other not so competively games such as AOE3 and Command and Conquer which, by the way, are nice
but stay with StarCraft and WarCraft with their respectively expansions -
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
i have and love Supreme Commander i had the dawn of war series but just didnt like them im more into BIG scale wars. i havent played the expansion but i want to get it
-
Company of Heroes is as yet unbeaten.
