Yes, the Fujitsu Siemens Xi 1554 has one. There are a few people that have that notebooks aswell. Its bassically the same as the Alienware M5790, just rebranded with some better plastic and the Alienware badges.

So far im happy with it.....i think there is more to come from it...there are no official drivers (so it could have some hidden power waiting to be released :D) for it but so far its performing fine for games...drivers are forced for it at the moment...what do you think of it imhungry29..?

Hey, I was thinking about buying one of those new alienware laptops , but is it really worth the extra 400$ hit just to upgrade the X1800 to the X1900? I'm always pushing for maximum graphics, even if unneccisary, but 400$!?

    anyone got a fps camparison?

funny story, true story, i put this alienware laptop in my sig cause i ordered an m5790 on 22Feb07. estimated ship date was 08Mar07, march 8th comes around, no email confirming shipping, emailed them say wtf mate? email me back saying they had a delay on memory. ****ing bull****. email them like 8 more times get more stupid responses like they are out of a freaking robot. presently waiting for shipping and they say its on phase 6 but i dont believe them. but i would say i wish it could be better as far as core clock, and mem speed but i think the extra pixel pipelines will make up for some. and i hate alienware now so im gonna go with either sager or fujitsu on my next purchase. :D

Ooh Ice Tea 666 posts! You are evil :)

Just kidding, the X1900 is a disappointment I think. It took too long before it was out, the drivers are really bad and the performance is not as good as an 7900GTX, lets forget the 7950GTX.

Hey sorry to hear that...i was interested to see the clock speeds on it because from what i've read here the clock speeds are dependant on the notebooks implementation of the graphics card...so could be that alienware bring it out with slightly higher core, mem speeds...and who knows with some actual drivers it could do a whole lot better :) (let us know when you get it, also clock speeds and 3dmarks)

    Fixed. ;)

But seriously, 400 for an upgrade from x1800 - x1900? I know they're good in selling baked hot air, but this seems just a wee bit over the top.

yeah hopefully ati can get out of their hole and release official drivers. i am interested to see some up to date comparisons of the 7950gtx and the mr x1900. i saw some thing on alienwares site, comparing the new 7 series with sli and non sli. there wasnt much of a gain in 3dmark but i hear taht 3dmark 06 is very dependent on ur overall system, i.e. ur cpu, amount of memory, things like that. if anyone has some benchies for the new gpus pls post em up.

$400 is alot of money to be asking for that upgrade. Particularly since the performance difference isn't massive, just yet. I think the fact that Alienware has a limites supply may also be driving the price higher. For example, a few weeks ago, the card was offered at a lower upgrade cost.

If you compare the Xi 1546 witht eh Mobility X1800 and the Xi 1554 with the Mobility X1900 in terms of price, they are almost the same here in the UK. Infac the price for some is the same. The only difference in specification is a bigger hard disk on the Xi 1554. The price will probably stabilise after a period of time, and when newer drivers come out, the card should also perform much better.

Zero is right (about price and performance when new drivers come out)

In the uk you can get an xi1546 with c2d t7200 etc and x1800 for around £1050 if you're lucky...the cheapest you can get an xi 1554 is for around £1150...i think its a bargain and definitely worth paying that extra £100($200) to get it... you'd be getting an x1900 instead plus the an extra 80 gig in size of hard drive and also WUXGA screen...and all that for an extra £100! thats a bargain :)
