the 8800m is available for pre order now or dec 6 i read somewhere. It pwns the 8600 gt but for the money i'd rather buy a desktop with a 28" lcd

The best graphics card anywhere? Nvidia 8800 Ultra...which is probably something like 4 times as powerful as a GDDR3 8600m GT.

Mobile card? When the 8800m arrives, that'll be it. It will perform about 2 times as fast as GDDR3 8600m GT. Until then, the mobile speed demon is the GeforceGO 7950 GTX.
