the main character model almost look identical, but the gameplay is quite different, maybe that's why

GoW was ported from the 360... so its not as good as a fully developed PC version of UT3.

That and UT3 feels like UT2004... which is great multiplayer action.

yea i guess i just hate the third peson , because of the fake/ stupid char. model (imo lol). maybe just because its faster paced. i have to admit the single player stinks! but it is an unreal game.

actually like them in different ways i guess. Gears of war is fun because you have to be more tactical in your approach to combat. Unreal Tournament 3 is just fast paced and fun to play right off the bat.

i guess if it comes down to it, I'll pick gears over unreal. The single player campaign is a blast and the best co-op experience I ever had!

Definitely agree with you Wiley. Gears of War coop is a blast. Played through the campaign with a friend in LAN coop. Also I like Gears more than UT3 since Gears is way more tactical than UT3. Not just rush and attack. In Gears you can“t just rush since you will be killed basically instantly :)

Also I like how the AI flanks you and pins you down, very fun and I am looking forward to Gears 2 :)

Though I have noticed one thing, if I play Gears on my Xbox 360 on Hardcore difficulty the AI actually runs like youself can do and they throw more grenades. Though in PC they never run for cover, they basically walk and throw grenades not so often. So for me Hardcore on the 360 is harder than hardcore on the PC.

I didnt like Gears of War myself, while I'm a big fan of UT3
Although GoW is a different experience in co-op....the single player campaign is boring a linear...nothing much to it..
UT3 is intense and filled with action.

When I played GoW on the 360 when it came out it was amazing. The single player was excellent and the fact that you could play with someone else so easily was even better. The mulitplayer was a nice change to the mostly dominated Halo 2 community. Now three years later the game was poorly (imo) ported to the pc and the online is less filled than the 360 version.

UT3 is a lot easier to play online because it is better optimized. I don't think there is really any hard correlation between loving both games unless its just your love or hate of dudes with massive bodies.
