    hi. thanks for reading this! i was just curious why all the laptops that are coming out now with the 8600GT card not have ddr3. is it that much of a price increase? does it change the architecture of the way all the parts fit together? thanks!

    do we expect to see more laptops with the ddr3 in the future or can we upgrade our current ddr2 cards into ddr3? thanks.

    They could probably just add $50 but still, most people wouldn't make the difference between DDR1 and GDDR4 so they continue selling DDR2
