Hey everyone,
Starting about 2 months ago I started having this problem when playing Medieval 2 Total War. The game starts up fine, and runs fine for about 10 minutes, but then it freezes, and I get this error message:
![]()
I ONLY get this message when I'm playing Medieval 2 Total War. If I don't do anything, it just sits like that indefinitely. If I click OK, then it crashes the game, and returns me to my desktop.
I recently reformatted my hard drive due to a separate problem I was having. I thought that would make this problem go away too, but it didn't. I still get the same error message without fail after about 10 minutes of game time.
My lappy:
Sager NP5791
Intel Core 2 Duo t7500
NVIDIA GeForce 8700GT (with default NVIDIA drivers)
2 GB RAM
Windows XP pro service pack 2
ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated. Medieval 2 Total War has been my favorite game since it came out and it's really sucked not being able to play it.

simply update your video driver should do the trick:

Your trying to game with default drivers?? Thats your first mistake. I agree with TomTom, download the latest drivers for your card and be sure to get the modded .inf file to replace the default one and you should be fine.
wierd graphics driver problem
