    concerning the 8600GT DDR2 vs DDR3 card.

    will having the DDR3 be the difference in not being able to run games that are graphic intensive like bioshock or will it mean the difference at not being able to run games at HIGH settings?

    i was wondering this because i was recently debating getting either the inspiron 1520 vs the asus gs1.

    DDR3 better in every aspect. Doesnt matter if its battery life or game play...

    No, memory type will never be the difference between running a game or not. It may mean the difference between a game being playable (or not) at certain settings, however.
