    will my computer run hl2 smoothly on low graphics?

    i have an AMD athlon (tm)XP 2500+, 1.83GHz 512 ram and i know my graphics card can handle it... i bought it off a friend who had same ram but only difference was the proccesor, he had 2.5ghz will i be able to run hl2 on all the lowest settings? will it run smoothly?

    Yea, probably. Mayb the loadin time will be longer, anyway wat's ur gpu.

    yes, provided u have a "semi" decent GPU

    HL2 forgiving to hardware

    Would help if you posted your graphics card.

    But otherwise, yes you should be able to run it fine. Extra 512mb would be a good idea though.
