Will this increase performance on games if you already have 4gb of ram installed along with wondows vista 64 bit? Or is it even necessary?

Nope, it isnt even necessary. You have a huge amount of RAM. I would disable it if you can.

Would you kindly walk me through how you got a hold of the 64bit Vista and got it installed? I know absolutely nothing about it, but do have 4GB ram and would like to take advantage of the extra 1GB.

Did it make in difference in the over all aspect of things from 32bit?

    Thanks in advance.

x64 can use the same key as 32 bit vista, and in general it is a little faster. my main problem with x64 with no ipod touch or ipod support yet. everything else rocks.

Turbo Memory is suppose to cut down boot and loading time. Ideally.
But the fact of the matter is that on a fast system with a lot of RAM it really does not pay off. For those 40-50 bucks i`d buy a new game!

    Word.
Techson, you can order laptops online that have Vista-64x installed onto the HD by the company; that, and I'm sure there are more ways to get it.

Do you mean we can use a 32 bit Vista's (OEM Version) key for the x64 version (OEM version) as well?

What if we dual boot with x86 and x64, with the same key?

    Or am I missing something?

I highly doubt it since they are essentially two different copies of the OS, Microsoft will essentially treat the 32-bit OS as one unique user and bar anyone else from using that particular key at the same time (patches, upgrades etc.).
