I got halo 1 the game run smooth at 800*600 all the other opinion enable and at max. my computer use this
    intel duel 1.83 ghz processor
    1gb ram
nvidia geforce 7400 go 128(I think +128 turbocache according to tech help info but direct x show only 128mb)

My question is might this run halo 2, or at least fear with decent settings. Also what about vista. I can upgrade to 2gb(though it will cost me because my I have both slot filled). Also I know that halo 2 isn't on the computer now. Is there I program that I can use to see if my video card is using it own memory or is using main and to get an accurate amount of memory it has

I think that your computer uses 128mb dedicated and take up to another 128mb as needed. However, I'm not sure if gaming will make it take up to the full extra 128mb. As for HALO 2, if HALO was any indication, you would need a pretty powerful computer to run it smoothly. If you can only run 800x600 on a game that's 3 years old, then HALO 2 probably would tax your system a lot. I hope that HALO 2 optimizes the port a lot better than HALO, or else not many people will be able to play it well.

Halo Plays on my Intel Xtreme integrated card-at med settings and 800x600 resolution-very well. but its kinda hard to tell until the Halo 2 is out and tried. I am guessing though that it will play, perhaps at med-low settings. Oblivion is one of the more graphically demanding games out and it plays fairly well on the Go7400.

There was a thread recently that had some screenshots from games playing on the Go7400, I will look around for it.

    EDIT: found it http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=92443&highlight=screenshot

Halo 2 by itself is not toooo graphic intensive compared to today's PC games. But how well they optimize it will make a big difference.

Since full requirements haven't been released yet, it really depends on how well it is ported from xBox, some are ported really well and run with great graphics on mid to low end GPUs, others are poorly ported and run like crap with graphics that aren't that great on all but the best GPUs (recent Ubisoft games such as Rainbow Six: Vegas and Splinter Cell: Double Agent are good examples of what can go wrong if it isn't ported well)

Just remember, you have to run Halo 2 on Vista. I would be more worried about your system running Vista.
But yeah, they better do a better job of porting it. Halo 2 was fantastic, but if they blow it like they did with the pc port of halo 1... major disapointment. they better not cut coop mode either.

You'll probably be able to run FEAR middle to middle-high settings then. It also helps that game is smooth as butter compared to HALO. My friend has an integrated GPU and he can run it on 640 with pretty smooth frame rates, so your card will be able to do at least 800 smoothly.

I use frap to get framerates on call of duty at max I got an average of 58-59 on the nvidia 7400(at lowest setting I had about 240). The intel card I have(same computer intel gma 950) got about 42-44 average framerate at max.
