windows live and batman AC

ive just downloaded batman arkham city again from steam and attempted to start playing.
no matter what i tried it wouldnt accept the serial key. then followed a link to activate the key from a website that worked.
then windows live wouldnt accept my email log in so i had to send an authentication email to get the code to work.
this time it worked and loaded fine with the game.
the problem is once windows live popped up and asked me to log in again it then loaded to a profile which as far as i can remember wasnt mine with a totally different user name.

what i need to know is does windows live and xbox set up any old user name once youve logged in as im sure i set up mrdj when i first got the game years ago.
could my windows live account have been hacked and the user name was changed.

any advice would be appreciated

 

I had mine hacked and the sod changed my name too. spent £50 also.

Close it down, start a fresh account. My advice anyway. or at least change the password.

no money in there so the sod couldnt get anything from me.
all account details changed now and game loaded fine second time around.

They give you w stupid username when you start. I thought the same thing, but didnt change it until after I played for awhile. Big mistake! It associates your save files with username. So with my new username I had to start from scratch.

Windows live is the devil.

 

its a tos up between windows live and origin. im not sure which is worse.

thing that was strange was when i played it well over a year ago on my old computer my user name was what i registered with but this time it was something like alchamist5, thats why alarm bells started ringing in my head as i used the same email to log in.
