i have been running the witcher 2 fo a couple months now and have had the endless problem of is always repairing microsoft.net. but it was playable.
now that it has been updated to enhanced edition i cannot play it.
everytime the game goes to load i get a c++ runtime error.
(this happens as soon as i launch game)
i have set everything to run as administrator, and spent days searching forums and tech faqs to no avail.
i have unistalled .net and c++ multiple times as well as clean installing witcher 2 and my video drivers.
i have also been watching event viewer but it does not show an error.
im now 30 hours into proabably the best rpg i have ever played and can no longer play it. any help would be greatly appreciated.

i play the steam version on an alienware m17xr2 with dual 6990's
game was running great until the update
