wolfenstein: Enemy Territory

Does anyone play this game? I download a file wolfet.exe from download.com, but when i try run it to install. I got the error "program is too big to fit in the memory". then i try to reboot my computer and run it again, same error. Then I try to delete it, and it refuses to delete. then i reboot go into safemode, i still cant delete it. Then finally in safemode, i open up task manager, end task explorer.exe then open up cmd.exe then delete from there.... strange

 

I downloaded that Game and it never seemed to work. I got a Open GL Error, which is suprising considering I can play HL2 perfectly

I wouldnt bother playing it, and map downloads take 30 mins

 

I played it for months, great game.

return to castle wolfenstein does work in my machine, just that this one doesnt install...

 

is the file wolfet.exe a dos file? because the one i download does not have an icon and it is a dos file. about 278MB

 

i am talking about the multipe player version, not the single player one

 

Not as far as I am aware. The file just contains basic information. It does not have map info or anyhting, which is why everyhting takes so long to load.

 

ET is a -great- game. I've played it for years, literally. It's an expansion pack for Return to Castle Wolfenstein that was released as a free online-only game. The original six maps that come with the game are the best (yes, they come with the game).

It 'should' run on anything, as the graphic requirements are not high at all. gameplay is great, if you find servers with good people (as always).

I would google it instead of getting it from download.com. Sounds like you got a faulty file, abccba.

 

I think I got my WolfET.exe from soft32.com or something like that.

i just downloaded the wolfet.exe from torrents and it works. it is a w32 setup file with icon shown, i suspect that the one i downloaded from download.com is virus or something. because i was unable to delete it. until i got into safe mode and close explorer.exe then delete it in command prompt

 

which server i should join? because i tried 2 servers, and i already spent like 3 hours downloading their mod... and still downloading so i quit..... tell me which server use the default map

 

which server doesnt use custom mod so i can play without downloading files like more than 4 hours?
