You're comparing Apples and Oranges.
Crysis- First Person Shooter
World in Conflict- Real Time Strategy
I personally liked WiC. -
Like stated above, there is hardly a comparison since you are comparing different genres.

i do understand. 2 different game play types ok. that said i loved the screenshots ive seen is it worth the 40 dollars? it does look amazing!!! whats the game about? and does it have a good story line and plot?
-
btw ive been looking for a different kind of game other than fps's. this could be the kinda game im lookin for!! can you guys tell me anymore? i dont wanna buy a crappy game.........

It's a fantastic game. More along the lines of Russia invading America.
I think. Man, it's been a long time since I've played it. ... Really need to play it again... -
It's a real time tactical game (not really real time strategy IMO). The focus of the game is controlling military units (squads of infantry, tanks, helicopters and support). During games you may earn tactical points which may be used to call down artillery strikes, support, etc. Its very fast paced and all but removes the economy aspect of traditional RTS (such as starcraft, red alert, etc). The closest game I'd compare it to would be Company of Heroes except with even less economy.
Personally I enjoyed it a lot. However, if you're not a big fan of RTS type games I wouldn't recommend it. Storyline was decent, not the most amazing I've ever played, but its there and definitely has some highlights.

I would definitely recommend WIC. Great game. Might be a little challenging for someone who hasnt done much RTS before tho.

I have the game, and it looks really really good, but thats just the tip of the iceberg because the game play is that much better. Everything feels smooth and lag free even @ 20 fps, given that you're in this huge map with more than 12 players each blowing things up and ordering insane amount of tactical strikes. The sound of gunfire and explosion stays with you through the entire game, whether its incredibly close or far, everything sounds and looks like full on warfare. Needless to say, it almost hurts to destroy the beautiful landscape you're given, but you also come to love it.
Im running the game @ high without direct 10 rendering using my setup below. It runs anywhere from 18-40 fps in multiplayer with 12 people online. But even at its lowest, the game still feels smooth. -
World in Conflict is an amazing game! A very fun and unique RTS. I was one of the beta testers, and I must say, I enjoyed every moment of it and bought it as soon as it came out.

Great Game.

Is it anything like CoH? I remember playing Sudden Strike and I liked the fact you had so many units and that was it. I like CoH but capturing fuel posts and stuff kinda makes me not like it.
-
Try the demo. I think it is a little like CoH, but for me, better.

Is there resource gathering?
-
No resource gathering

I like World in Conflict a lot. It is different from the typical cookie-cutter RTS game.
-
Awesome! I will pick it up. -
If you're looking for amazing gameplay and graphics, I'd go for Call of Duty 4, Company of Heroes, and Assassin's Creed.
world in conflict..... opinions?
