    ok i have a dell inspiron 1520 just got it new off the box.. 2 gig ram, t7500 2.2ghz processor, 8600m gt and xp home edition sp2 and i jus ran 3dmark05 with the default settings tha came with the 3dmark program and i only scored 4757 wth is this normal? caus ei saw the avh benchmarks and they wre like 5903 or something like tha BTW I DISABLED POWERMIZER

    did you do a clean install? What version drivers are you using?

    Did you make sure that both the cpu and gpu are running full power and are not downclocked?

    you should definitely do a clean install. i did and my 3dmark05 went up from 5,000 to over 9,000.

    im using the factory drivers...... cause my friend tried the drivers from laptopvideo2go and it didnt make a diff for him so i didnt bother

    By clean install do you mean format your HD then re-install Windows? Also, are you supposed to install drivers from the CD, then go find new ones for your GPU and stuff?

    The notebook should have a clean install. As is format it and reinstall Windows. Since it's straight out of the box, it is loaded down with bloatware.

    Graphics card drivers.

    OMFG EVERYONE GO GET THE NEW DELL GPU DRIVERS NOW~!!!1 I was having trouble plaing crysis so i dl the new drivers and used it then was able to play crysis perfectly.BUT I NOTICED THA IN OTHER GAMES THE PERFORMANCE INCREASED SO I DECIDED TO TEST IT OUT IN 3DMARK05 AND MY SCORED WENT FROM 4757 TO 6092!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OMFG!!!!!! I RAN THE SAME TEST AS B4 WOW!!!!!!!
