    wth lag perfect world

    ok i found this really cool MMORPG called Perfect World. And guess what, I LAG!

    I know that Perfect World is in China...and im in Canada...is this the issue? I have rogers hi-speed internet and dont lag in other games. I had to turn the graphics settings all the way down for playable framerates...

    My graphics card exceeds by far the recommended requirements


    suggestions?

    Yeah. Hitting Asia servers is... slow.

    I've never played a game hosted in Asia that I haven't gotten high latency on.

    Just as hollownail said, Asian servers are slower than European/Canadian/American servers. But to be absolutely sure, update all your drivers to the newest ones!

    Which has to do with the fact that the servers are futher away from you.
    The closer the destination is the less latancy/lag/delay you get.

    LOL i play this game on my laptop, am a lvl 20 warrior by the way :D
    i run on some settings on high some on medium and some on low with good FPS and 0 lag. :)

    Try doing a pingcheck on their servers or something to be sure of the source of lag. [Forgot how to do it xD Something on the commandline... argh..!]

    yes it is distance lag, even though i live in Bangkok i still got some lag from time to time.

    I recommend that you set visual distance and water quality to lowest though.

    even when i click on the skill it lags...i dont want to play this game.. Anyone know game thats like WoW gameplay but free?
