I've managed to get a score of 2071 in 3d05
    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1952788

this was at 546/433. It still has more in it, ive played WoW for about 30 minutes and the fan hasnt even kicked on high yet. No artifacts to speak of either!

Undervolting my CPU to 0.95v helped my temps a LOT, I need full load on both cores for about 45 minutes before the fan goes high, and even then, it settles into medium after a short while!

    Stock was 432/390

I could easily break 2300 with a few driver tweaks :)

Edit: Do you by chance know of a clockgen that would work with my e1505?

What do you mean by driver tweaks, nothing that reduces IQ I hope since thats cheating.....

As for the clocks is that:

    432/390 (780)

    or

    432/195 (390)?

PS. Do you have a stock bench as that would be useful.

Stock bench was somewhere around 1750. Don't really remember to be honest.

And yea, I would just turn IQ all the way down :p

And im not sure if thats the true mem clock or the ddr clock unfourtunately!

    Edit: 563/441 = 2102!!!

    Hi Enigma,
How did you OC your X1400? DId you use something like ATI tool or did you alter the bios setting?

    I used PowerStrip :)

Also I highly recommend using RightMark CPU Clock Utility to lower your CPU voltage to drop temps, and add LOTS of battery life, I spent 2 hours laying in bed surfing the web on wifi and still had a little over 40% battery, and this is with powerplay disabled, on the 6 cell cheapo battery!

    Hi,
Does anyone of the x1400 overclockers have any overheating problem?
I'm thinking of an oc on my mobility x1400, but still don't know if it's worth it...
By the way, could anyone post some kind of oc guide for the x1400?
    My Catalyst 6.2 read 432 Core and 396 Memory, but I've seen a x1400 with 438 and 450:

    Thanks!

Oh I know this thread is kinda old, but that benchmark is by FUGGER, a very good overclocker, basically the kind of person its kinda hard to follow :)

mine X1400 got 2214 pts in 3DMARK05 on standard drivers; now I've got Omegas but haven't tested them yet :) no overclocking :p

I'm interested in underclocking this card, as NHC doesn't change anything with the frequencies of core & memory while AC connected :(
    Any help? :)

M4ciek please install Omega's and OC X1400 to the max, show them that best laptop overclockers are from Poland!! :D (and put the score on "our forum")

I'm just wondering why my default settings are 438 / 279 (this mem clock is somehow small I think)

That is a slow memory clock, and will limit your performance a good deal. Performance is all in the memory.

If you can play most of your games fine, I wouldn't overclock, but if you do need the extra performance, bump the clocks up to the proper stock ones. I'm thinking Toshiba might have sent it with a lower clock because you have a smaller (14") notebook and thus heat reduction is welcome. Monitor the temperature of the card if you can.

Ok, the facts are: I cannot change the memory clock using PowerStip as after any change (even down) and pushing the Apply button, whole application freezes.
The second facts is that I'm not able to monitor the CPU temperature at all (but that's not a problem for me :p as in comparison to the problems with CPU thermal sensor !)

Exactly which version of PowerStrip allows changing the memory speed on the x1400?

Edit1: I figured out that the latest beta version of PowerStrip (3.66.564) allows changing of memory speed on the x1400 without itself hanging. Memory speed changes have been checked and confirmed by NHC.

Edit2: The highest I've been able to achieve with over-clocking memory as well as core is 432/378 with a 3DMark05 of 2296 using the latest Omega drivers.
    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=2063537

Using the same Omega drivers, without over-clocking (391/342), 3DMark05 was 2127

hmm...i heard only the powerstrip 3.63 would be able to overclock a x1400.

how come some people's stock x1400 3DMark05 is better than other stock x1400?
