    Hey,

Well i have a Asus Z96j, with a x1600 256 graphics card and 2gb of ram. I was just poking around my computer and i went into Ati calayst control and i was reading the specification and it showed that available memory was at 1023mb... Is this normal? or can something be wrong...

    Thanks

Nope, it's normal. My X700 also has 1GB according to Vista.

The extra 768MB is shared although the card will only take memory when it needs it. Usually it won't share any.
