I am currently looking to buy either the dell e1705 or Sager NP5750

they both have a core duo 2.0ghz and 2 gigs of 667 ram

i reallly like the look of the sager better and i hear it is much more reliable.

So my question is does the 9700gs blow the x1600w/512 out of the water or are they close to equal and can the x1600 run most current games on high settings? And does any1 have any 3dmark05 scores?

The 5750's X1600 is only 128mb dedicated. Get the dell if you want the more powerful 7900gs. The 256mb X1600 can handle nearly all games out there really well, but the 7900gs is much more powerful.

As far as 3dmark scores your talking about around 4000 In 3dmark05 for the X1600 and over 6000 for the 7900GS. I have seen the 7900GS overclocked a lot and it hit over 8000 in '05. And the X1600 can get upto 5k in '05 overclocked. The 7900GS is a winner in any situation.
