I am willing to try Oblivion out on my x200m. My friend is selling it to me for 15$ so the 1st thing on my mind was to buy it. I only have 512mb of RAM currently but I am going to upgrade to 1.5gb of RAM in a couple of days. I will post Screen shots, FPS results (On different settings), and maybe a video here. I have seen Oblivion play on the 6150Go at 15 - 20 FPS so I will try it out tomorrow. I know the 512mb isn't going to work to well with it but I'm just going to do a couple of test for now.
Waiittttttttttt.. Scratch that... Here are my test results here:

I HIGHLY doubt you will get anywhere near 15-20 fps in oblivion with that card, let alone the go 6150.
-
Pulp wrote a really good article on how to get the most out of the 6150 and cites successes with Oblivion playability as a good example. There are a lot of modifications and sacrifices in graphics eye-candy, but it would be possible...though it will probably look bad. This isn't a big deal for those who just get enough from the story lines.
But 15FPS on an integrated card with even the lower (un-modified) settings of Oblivion is most likely impossible. You'll need to mod it. -

well I got it to run fine on my roomates intel 950 machine but i had to turn down some of the settings. It gets good fps though. heres a screenshot.

Hey Stamar, that looks awesome! But I can see some jaggies on the trees and characters. Do you have AA enabled? I also think you should try HDR to have better lighting. It's nice though, that you can run it with full grass distance. Grass is the usual fps killer..

Oh man I scrolled down to quick and missed stamar's screenshot....another round of
    -
Drawing Oblivion graphics by hand using professional tools like MSPaint is a difficult task indeed. I think Gator has succeeded flawlessly..

Oh ya well I had to use the commodore 64 mod to get it to really roll. What it does is convert the 3d textures into 8 x 8 bit sprites. -
lmao what a topic

HaHaHa.. Well I was playing it today on low settings and IT RAN AT 16 - 24 FPS.
I did not use the oldblivion mod cus the dam thing wouldnt start up, there would be an error.. So I will post up some screenshots as soon as I get home using Fraps. All of you people that think it will run on 1fps I can prove you wrong easily, and dont hate on the x200m is better than u think. Im only 15 and thats all I can afford. -
Hey when i was 15 i got this computer. I paid 2000 bucks for it. I saved for a while.

Stamar and I thank you all for the admiration, now lets see a screenshot or two!

Honestly I'm surprised it runs that well! I get similar (but a bit better) fps on my x200m from WoW. Yours probably has dedicated ram...

If you really want to run oblivion on old hardware, or integrated cards like the x200m, try oldblivion at oldblivion.com. It will give you better visual quality and better performance than the original game even at its lowest settings.

Filipinocrzy:
Your PC looks pretty good, but it's probably bottlenecking in the RAM. If you want to improve it without spending much, I'd start there.
Congrats for your Oblivion run. -
Yes I am upgrade the RAM to about 1.5gb or 2gb in 1 or 2 weeks so no worrys right now.
