When i play lotro with very low setting i got 20 FPS.
But when i play on high i got 17FPS!!!!!!!!! strange!
i seen in the intel driver that G Mem in use = 219mb when i play lotro (219 ia the max i have seen!)

Why it dont go to the Max???
and i got really low performance!

On low settings, it is mostly relying on your CPU for graphics processing which a CPU is not designed to do.
On high settings, its offloading the graphics processing to the Intel GPU, which is designed to process 3D graphics, but does so at a terribly slow rate.
And as far as 219mb, thats all the OS will allocate to the GPU.

The X3100 is NOT a gaming GPU, it WILL have low performance.
Besides, its memory doesnt much matter.

There isn't anything you can do short of modding the drivers; but seeing as they're not open source, its not possible. The X3100 is not designed to play any remotely recent 3D games.

You realize that's the worst benchmark in history, right?

Who ever thought of the scale for the WEI should get a 5.9... out of 10. Idiot.

There isn't much you can do to 'fix' your videocard, it is just finding the optimal settings for the game.

Thomas is right, the WEI benchmark is demented; it reports different scores on computers that are *exactly* the same. Also the way it ranks by the lowest subscore is not even an accurate indicator of true performance for people unfamiliar with technology (for whom WEI was designed for). Seriously, stay away from it.

The video memory allocation on the X3100 is DYNAMIC, meaning it only uses the amount it needs. Why waste it when its not needed?? So if you play more demanding game or put it on more demanding setting, the memory usage would go UP.

The low performance is due to being integrated and being made for saving cost and power, that can't really be changed. On the X3100, its relatively more capable processing more recent shader instructions which is why you don't lose lots of performance increasing settings. It also has to do with the fact that there is a bottleneck somewhere.

No. Wrong. Whether it offloads to the GPU or not has to do with the driver settings. I believe in this game its done on hardware, aka done by the GPU.

Agree. Vista scores a GMA 950 several points higher than a Go 7200, which is an absolute joke if you've ever used both gpus on the same games....
